Plus: Lisa Armstrong on wearing brooches – the modern way
| | Fashion month is approaching and with that, the fashion set will flock to New York, London, Paris and Milan. But my favourite fashion week, which just concluded on Friday, kicks it all off: Copenhagen Fashion Week.
I love it because the Danes make gorgeous clothes for real women at reasonable luxury price points. But most of all, I love its commitment to sustainability: all brands must prove they address key factors such as materials, waste and consumer sustainability education. In an industry that’s being forced to smarten up, Copenhagen Fashion Week stands to be an increasingly important player in the fashion landscape.
But this doesn’t mean the Scandi city is short on style – quite the opposite. Here, I take a look at the most elegant and wearable trends seen in Copenhagen this season.
Speaking of sustainable fashion, how to wear antique jewellery without ageing yourself? A reader recently asked The Telegraph’s head of fashion Lisa Armstrong this question when she inherited a gorgeous brooch collection. Lisa has some brilliantly creative advice on how to style them in a contemporary way here.
