If you’re looking for a Sunday workout, have we got one for you. After Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg undertook the Murph challenge earlier this week, fitness writer Phil Hilton decided to give it a go. A mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats and then another one-mile run later – mind you, that’s all while wearing a vest that weighs just under 10kg – he says his respect for the tech billionaire has never been more intense. ‘Whatever your feelings about the personal data economy, the man can do press-ups,’ Hilton announces.

The cult workout was popularised as a tribute to Lt Michael P Murphy, killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005, to raise money for charity. As well as being hugely brave, Murphy was tremendously fit and the challenge is based on one of his favourite workouts.

If you’d prefer to lay low, Ed Cumming’s interview with former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter promises an entertaining armchair read. Elsewhere, Rowan Pelling provides advice on asking your teen the tough questions – including, ‘Do you watch porn?’

Happy reading!
