If you have a ‘‘tween’’ in your life (a pre-teen between the ages of seven and 12) you may appreciate that shopping for clothes can be a minefield. Traditional childrenswear feels too young, adult clothing is too grown-up, and there’s very little in-between.

I was reminded of this when Victoria Beckham shared a family photo in which her youngest child, Harper, 11, was wearing wedge platform mules. She looked great, tween-appropriate dressing nicely navigated, but there’s so much more to it than footwear – here’s what the high street is doing about it.

The other topic dominating conversation on the fashion desk is Jordan’s royal wedding; Crown Prince Hussein, 28, and Saudi architect Rajwa Al-Saif, 29, tied the knot yesterday, the bride wearing two showstopping gowns. We have all the details on the best-dressed guests’ looks, including the Princess of Wales, Jill Biden and Princess Beatrice.

Enjoy!
