Plus: the natural deodorant that will actually keep you smelling fresh and Chanel brings back wedge sneakers
| | | By Lucia Ferrari COMMISSIONING BEAUTY EDITOR | | There have definitely been a few glimpses of May sunshine and holiday bookings are creeping into our diaries, but even if we can’t fully embrace our summer wardrobes quite yet (it still feels quite chilly first thing in the morning doesn’t it?) we can inject a shot of spring colour into our make-up and nails.
A dark red Rouge Noir-ey colour feels too wintry on the nails now, but Sophie Tobin shows us some great spring and summer alternatives in her trends story from milky nudes, chrome metallics to pretty pastel versions of the French manicure. I love the look of the geometric nail trend Sophie talks about, and I’ve noted Chanel’s double C logo stickers which I think would look fun on holiday even just on one nail.
Talking about holidays and hot weather, Clare Cohen has road tested the latest natural deodorants in her piece Can a £12 deodorant keep you fresh to find out whether they really work or not and gives us an honest account of which ones will be remaining in her bathroom.
Of course no two pairs of armpits are the same, so now we just need the sun to come back out so the rest of us can test them in hopefully warmer temperatures soon!
