From honey to platinum, sun-kissed to strawberry, most of us have dabbled with blonde at some stage. As a good friend’s Mum said to me the other day, “blonde highlights are like a pair of pearl earrings. They bring luminosity to the skin and are universally flattering.” Annabel Jones speaks to Kate Moss’s hair colorist Nicola Clarke about how to find the right blonde to work for you in midlife – whether it's cool scandi, champagne honey or the glamorous new “gronde” which is a clever way of combining grey and blonde.

Talking of blondes, Gwyneth Paltrow was once again bringing attention to her daily bone broth and exercise regime, showcasing her (admittedly) sculpted abs in a G. Label cropped top at an award ceremony in Los Angeles. Tamara Abraham discusses the midriff-baring trend (even M&S is doing it this summer). If, like me, your initial reaction is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY, do have a read as there are some surprisingly wearable options for those of us who are 50 plus and don’t live on a daily allowance of bone broth and Pilates.

I particularly love Tamara’s cheat-list of instant beauty tricks to make the skin look better, which requires zero exercise at all!

Enjoy,
Lucia
