Over the years, I've had trouble finding a mascara that I really love, but after coming across the Joah Beauty High Roller Legendary Volume Mascara ($11) through a TikTok video, I knew I'd found a gem. When looking for a new mascara, first and foremost, I check to see that it is cruelty-free and adds volume to my lashes. This Joah Beauty formula stood out to me after TikTok creator Valerie Eve pointed out the ingredients are inspired by skin care with biotin and vitamin B5, which both help strengthen and support healthy lashes.
Since I got my hands on the product, I've fallen in love with it. The Joah Beauty High Roller Legendary Volume Mascara features an hourglass-shaped brush, which is great for gripping and amplifying your lashes. One swipe of the formula is super impactful, but you can keep applying multiple layers to get your desired look. This mascara is also washable, making it easy to remove at the end of the day. With the infused ingredients of biotin and vitamin B5, I love that it helps maintain healthy eyelashes while I'm wearing it.
What I really like about this mascara is how easy it is to apply. Usually, with mascara, things can get messy, but not with this one. It also dries fast, so it doesn't smudge under my eyes. With its clump-free, flake-free, and smudge-free formula, I'm able to apply as many coats as I want to achieve super-voluminous lashes. At the end of the day, it's super easy to take off — I simply put a damp cloth on my lashes, and the pigment melts away.
The brand recommends you "place the brush at the base of the lashes and swipe up from root to tip." I like to repeat that process until I get the look I want. While doing a little research, I also found this viral TikTok hack that recommends you start by applying your mascara as you usually would, beginning at the base of your lashes and extending it to the ends. From there, you hold the brush vertically and use the tip to coat each individual lash with pigment. This trick helped me add more length to my short lashes.
