After January's sub-zero temperatures, your lips may be in need of some TLC. The delicate skin on this part of the face makes our lips vulnerable to water loss in cold conditions, leading to dryness and rough patches – not exactly a perfect pout.

Fortunately, balms have come a long way over recent years, so there are plenty of excellent candidates to choose from if you're looking to offset chapped lips. (Be warned: the bright packaging and names like 'happikiss' makes shopping for them suprisingly addictive...) To help you out, Jan Masters has listed the best super-moisturising balms to banish dry winter lips. Scroll down for her top picks.

Plus, discover how Scandi label Stine Goya became the go-to brand for occasion wear, and find out why your carbonara recipe could get you cancelled.

Enjoy!
