What do you wear when you don’t know what to wear? For me, it’s always a suit. Sometimes with trainers and a T-shirt, or perhaps a camisole and heels for a night out. It’s timeless, smart, flattering – a fail-safe formula. No wonder so many other women are doing the same: Michelle Yeoh and Emma Thompson at the Baftas; Minnie Driver; Margot Robbie; Cate Blanchett; Zendaya; plus a smattering of front row guests at fashion week. I wrote about why it’s so much more than just a trend.

As for Fashion Week itself, London was on great form. Florence Pugh at Harris Reed and Ian McKellen reading Tennyson at S.S. Daley were among the highlights. Lisa Armstrong was on the front row and wrote about the most covetable pieces and ideas that will help us all raise our style game.

Enjoy!

On Tamara's recommendation

I aspire to have a home that looks as good as the contents of my wardrobe, and I’ve discovered an unlikely new source. The bedding, throws and tableware at White Stuff have an Anthropologie vibe, but without the Anthropologie price tag. Top of my list is this reversible bed linen, £85, whitestuff.com.
