By Annabel Jones,
BEAUTY EDITOR AT LARGE

I hate to bring this to your attention, but if the contents of your makeup bag are a carbon copy of your well-heeled friends, then you may well be a middle-class beauty cliché. This is the subject of my latest feature which delves into John Lewis’s beauty and wellness predictions for 2023, based on a study into how our shopping habits have changed. Apparently, this is the year we will “reclaim ourselves” – with the help of a tinted lip oil and a mushroom face cream, that is.

In other news, Jan Masters has written about why good brows are better than a face lift. I have to agree, as the power a pair of well-groomed eyebrows can have on the structure of one’s face is undisputed. Salon experts are your best bet, but strategically tweezing and filling in at home is a job worth knowing, which she masterfully explains in cut-out-and-keep detail.

Enjoy!
Annabel
