BEAUTY EDITOR AT LARGE | | | The beauty world is always abuzz with change and this year is no exception, with a host of new products and techniques appearing in the skincare stakes. From intriguing-sounding snow fungus – a vegetal super-hydrator and nourisher – to a layering technique known as a 'moisture sandwich', there are plenty of new tricks to try if you're looking to reboot your routine. Jan Masters shares five tips for a flawless complexion here.
Speaking of change, at Tuesday's Golden Globe Awards a number of new style rules were present within the spectacle of embellished frocks and glamorous hair and make-up – with one beauty accessory missing from the red carpet this year. The ubiquitous spray tan, which celebrities have come to rely upon for a flattering golden glow, was conspicuous in its absence.
Actresses Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Debicki, Anya Taylor-Joy and Julia Garner among others, embraced their naturally porcelain complexions, without so much as a drop of bronze to take the edge off their sun-shy limbs – which only goes to show that authenticity is dictating the mood in 2023.
