Plus: Five key trends you need to know for 2023 and three recipes for a luxe Twixmas brunch at home
| | | By Lisa Armstrong, HEAD OF FASHION | | Best dressed lists (BDLs) are notoriously subjective so feel free to disagree with our 2022 edit of the people who got us talking this year. By popular demand, we’ve included men this time.
We know there are plenty of well dressed people who didn’t make the top 25 - we left a number of candidates out simply because they’ve previously appeared, there wasn’t room or there just weren’t any good pictures of them (believe it or not, there are some fabulously stylish types out there who don’t selfie their every outfit).
Given their apparent arbitrary nature, you may wonder whether there’s any point to BDLs, other than a bit of fun? (Mind you, don’t knock fun.)
But it’s always interesting to track changing tastes and dress codes to see how the truly stylish work with their body shapes rather than against them. Lists can also identify trends that weren’t otherwise apparent. So if this one entertains and inspires you, job done.
