As part of our Aughts Effect package, I took a deep dive into the history of one of the most iconic fashion moments from the early 2000s: Paris Hilton's Julien Macdonald 21st birthday dress. In talking to Hilton and Macdonald, I learned how the outfit came to be, what they think of Kendall Jenner's La Bourjoisie recreation for her own 21st, and how they feel about its significance to this day. You can watch the full video and get all the juicy details here, but if there's one thing I know Hilton would want me to pass on to you immediately, it's this: "I feel like every girl should wear that dress on their 21st birthday," she told me. The Disney x Champion NFL Collab Is Here
|
The moment I posted about the Disney x Champion NFL collection on TikTok, my video blew up, with nearly 170,000 people expressing their excitement. I got a sneak peek at the collab when I attended Fanatics Fest with Disney last month, where the brand hosted an onstage "draft" with the likes of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski selecting the Disney characters most fitting for their teams. In short, it was hilarious, engaging, and BIG (just like everything Disney does). While the initial release focused on a small group of teams, now everyone can obsess all over again as all of the teams and their Disney captains have finally been revealed. Hold Up: Mac Duggal Wedding-Guest Dress
|
Mac Duggal is one of those foolproof wedding-guest dress brands that instantly makes you best dressed at the function. I find that the designs arrive exactly as advertised on the site and, most importantly, the quality is unparalleled — as this Mac Duggal Petite Green Sleeveless Hand Embellished Floral Maxi Dress ($598) lasted through hours and hours of dancing at a wedding this past weekend with not a single sequin shed. In fact, when I unpacked it from my luggage upon returning home, I couldn't believe it was still in mint condition.
One of my favorite details? The dress hails from the Petites collection for women under 5'4" like myself, so I didn't have to get it tailored in order to show off my BCBG Fanny Sandals ($99), which were the perfect shimmery accoutrement. You'll find Mac Duggal offers nearly all its bestsellers in petite sizing, and I'm particularly fond of its wide range of styles for all ages. For example, my mom loves the brand as much as I do, so she shopped for her mother-of-the-bride dress there, too.
