I Wore the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic For Weeks — Here Are My Thoughts |
I'll admit, I used to be an Oura Ring hater. I thought they were ugly, and all they did was make my friends paranoid about sleep, activity, alcohol, and stress. If I heard one more person mention their readiness score, I was ready to jump off a cliff. Then karma hit: I got sent an Oura Ring. And yes — reluctantly — my opinion changed. The data it provides is actually super insightful. Even on short nights of sleep, my readiness score still hit the 90s. How? Because it tracks sleep quality — something you don't always notice. It also links to Strava for activity and even helps with cycle tracking (goodbye, last-minute tampon scramble). The app is clear and easy to understand, and the battery lasts several days. Comfort-wise, I barely notice it on my finger. Do I still think it's ugly? A little. But the ceramic model doesn't scratch like the others, so it actually looks nicer. If you love health data, want better sleep insight, or need guidance on recovery and activity, this little ring is surprisingly smart — and honestly, I can't believe I'm saying it, but I really like it. |

Debate: Is Bink the New "It Girl" Water Bottle? |
Out with the old, in with the new. These glass water bottles are taking over my TikTok feed, but will they really replace the Stanleys and Owalas of the world? Naomi Parris, assistant shopping editor: "Leave it up to TikTok to coin a water bottle as something an 'It Girl' would have. While I like the design of the Bink bottle and see how convenient it can be for carrying your beverages on the go, I don't know if I absolutely need it. I get a lot of gifting from brands and most of them include water bottles (like my Stanley tumbler or Lululemon bottle), which I already love. So do I really need another?" Sarah Wasilak, shopping director: "Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the chic colorways the Bink comes in (especially the yellow — seeing that daily would make me feel so bright and happy), but I'm devoted to my HidrateSpark and Stanley Quencher when I'm at home. I love how the former lights up blue to remind me to drink water in a subtle way throughout the day, and I've personalized my Stanley with some stickers that I like to look at on the desk next to me while I work. I use them interchangeably, rotating every few days to throw the pieces in the dishwasher. "That being said, I would definitely try getting the Bink Mini Bottle for my trips to the gym, which is the one time I don't want to lug the HidrateSpark or Stanley. IMO, the Bink is a good transportation water bottle that's easy to throw in the bag, but I don't think there's anything else about it that makes it stand out from the rest of the 'It Girl' water bottles out there. I get the adult sippy cup allure, but the aesthetic wouldn't motivate me personally to drink any more water than I already do." Haley Lyndes, shopping staff writer: "Are water bottles even about hydration anymore, or are they just fashion statements? If it's the latter, the Bink wins in my book — by a long shot. Call me crazy, but I think Stanleys are ugly, and HydroJugs might be even worse. They're also way too bulky for my liking. A small water bottle you can toss in your purse, like the Bink, is really all we need on the go. Enough with the giant water bottles. Seriously, they're not that cute." Shop: |
