"Pulling Black dollars from these retailers doesn't hurt the corporations as much as it hurts the brands you love," Maya Smith, founder of hair-care brand The Doux, wrote on Instagram. Of course, whether you choose to boycott Target or not, the fact remains that these Black-owned businesses need our support now more than ever.
