Elsewhere, I’ve delved into the growing trend of vanilla perfumes. In the past I’ve immediately dismissed them. Vanilla, traditionally, smells very sweet (and I don’t want to smell like a Victoria sponge, thanks very much). But the new vanilla perfumes on the block are anything but tooth-achingly sugary. I’ve shared some of my favourites, including one perfume that, upon smelling it on me, made two women immediately trot off to buy it.
