| | | | | When it comes to kitchen gadgets, it is possible to divide them into two camps. First are the superfluous, those items which may hold novelty value for a while but which quite quickly get lost at the back of the cupboard (we’re looking at you, spiralizers).
Then there are the properly transformative kitchen inventions, those items which only come along once in a generation yet which truly revolutionise the way we cook. Microwaves fall into this category, so too electric kettles, but perhaps most remarkable of all is the air fryer. Since the pandemic, sales of these countertop ovens have soared, with seemingly every home now boasting one.
After several recent television documentaries thrust the gadget into the spotlight, it seems there is no end to our appetite for all things air fryer.
