BEAUTY EDITOR AT LARGE

Two hairstyles the Princess of Wales is epic at: a majestic up-do and glossy waves. In case you hadn’t noticed, said waves are looking extraordinarily glossy lately.

Alas, we don’t have palace intel on her personal hair care routine, but Lucia Ferrari has interviewed Catherine’s wedding hairdresser about the secret to getting the Princess of Wales’s ‘‘liquid brunette’’ hair. She’s also tapped one of LA’s premier hairstylists (the one who does Charlize Theron) for his tips on going frizz free. Hint: weekly hair masks and a special healing hair oil.

Meanwhile, if you’re as frustrated as I am by the sun’s resistance to stick around for more than a day at a time, then you’ll find some useful recommendations in Jan Masters’s beauty column on why it’s never been easier to get a (fake) bronzed glow.

Enjoy!

On Annabel’s recommendation

After healthy glowing skin? I mean, who isn’t? Then, I suggest a moisturiser containing peptides. These proteins help to stimulate collagen, the key component to a firm, radiant complexion (collagen production slows from age 25).

Rhode Skincare, which launches in the UK this week, has the moderately priced Peptide Glazing Fluid, £29, with added hyaluronic acid, marula oil and niacinamide, which I’m enjoying immensely.
