Looking for love but tired of dating apps? Writer Lizzie Frainier may have a solution for you. After nearly a decade of on-and-off dating in London, she was ready to try a new approach – so when several Telegraph readers told her that skiing was where they found lasting romance, she swapped swiping for ski boots and booked a trip to the French Alps (not letting the small detail of being a beginner skier stand in her way). Scroll down to read how a week on the slopes was more successful for her love life than ten years of dating apps – and how she can now conquer a red slope.

Plus, discover 25 fun things to do this half term for £10 or less and find out why now is the perfect time to buy a pair of flares.

Enjoy!
