By Sophie Tobin,
JUNIOR FASHION & BEAUTY EDITOR

Three decades ago a young Lee McQueen showed his debut fashion collection, marking the start of a career that would see incredible creativity and drama. Using his middle name Alexander, the brand Alexander McQueen has gone on to be one of the most successful British labels (you'll surely remember his armadillo boots, the bumster trousers and exquisite tailoring most recently seen on the Princess of Wales). Stephen Doig has compiled a fascinating oral history speaking to collaborators, designers and models, including Kate Moss, Philip Treacy, Shaun Leane and Plum Sykes about the designer's storied career.

Elsewhere, the watch market has exploded, with second hand timepieces selling for more than ten times what they were bought for a decade ago. Melissa Twigg looks at the change in the industry and which ones are worth investing in today.

Wishing you a stylish weekend,
Sophie
