Popular chat forum Mumsnet is the platform for thousands of online discussions, with the site’s eight million unique monthly visitors (or ‘Mumsnetters’) voicing strong feelings on everything from whether newborns should be helped into a routine (majority verdict: no) to turning on the heating (wear a jumper!).

But at the moment, all of these debates are being dwarfed by the “Royal family” thread, where dozens of people are analysing the fallout from Prince Harry’s leaked book, Spare. “People have extraordinarily strong and vitriolic views, way more powerful than I would expect,” says Mumsnet founder Justine Roberts, 55. “They are so strongly anti-Meghan we’ve had to do what we did with Madeleine McCann and cobble it into one topic because it seems slightly deranged.” Scroll down to read the full interview.

Plus, discover seven interiors trends you will want to try this year and our travel team share their recommendations for the best sunny short-haul destinations if you can’t wait until summer.

Enjoy!
