Mummy trilogy star and 90s heartthrob Brendan Fraser is back. After more than ten years away from British cinemas, the 54-year-old actor has returned to the big screen – and his comeback role might come as a surprise. At Venice Film Festival, Fraser received a six-minute standing ovation for his lead performance in The Whale, a chamber piece from Darren Aronofsky. Fraser’s performance of Charlie, a 42-stone recluse trying to reconcile with his estranged teenage daughter, has seen him nominated for the Best Actor Bafta and Oscar for the first time in his life. The acclaim is “like nothing I’ve ever previously experienced”, he says. Scroll down to read how the Hollywood star went from blockbuster beefcake to Best Actor contender.

Plus, discover the telltale signs that you're completely drained (and how to recharge), and explore the 30 greatest holidays in Greece.

Enjoy!
